Returning Soccer to a Brazilian Favela with Adidas

Back

JeffreyGroup and leading apparel and lifestyle brand Adidas kicked off a flurry of sport-themed events in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup with a social responsibility initiative in the Brazilian favela of Heliopolis. Demonstrating the company’s commitment to sport and fair play, JeffreyGroup worked with the brand to rehabilitate a public, indoor soccer center and lead a food drive that brought in nine tons of food. Adidas brand ambassador and French soccer star Zinedine Zidane hosted the events and played pick-up matches with former Brazilian soccer heroes. More than 5,000 people attended the events, including 80 international media outlets which resulted in 49 million media impressions.
