Fernando Teixeirense

Fernando works as Group Director in Brasília. He oversees the company’s operations in Government Affairs and Public Relations within the Brazilian Federal Capital.

Fernando began his career acting as journalist covering the section of politics in a local Newspaper (Correio Braziliense). He launched his 14 years’ career in Corporate Communications by serving to the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. In this occasion, he took part in the Communication Service Team that worked on the VLS accident in 2003.

Fernando served as Communications and Public Relations Counselor for the presidency of state-owned Eletrobrás. Over a period of seven years, he coordinated the communications service of the Ministry of Mines and Energy. In this role, he led the communications team that dealt with the massive energy crisis related to Bolivia’s natural gas resources and the blackout that left more than 13 federal states without power.

He also served as Director to FSB Comunicação for 9 years. In this period, he acted as Head of the Communication Service that worked with the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation and coordinated the core Private accounts portfolio in Brasília. Fernando also coordinated the Costumer Service both throughout Petrobras and Pension Funds Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry.
